Volunteer Management Team Wanted

Derelict canal bridge

At present the bridge looks like this...

Narrowboat and canal bridge

But with your help it could look like this!

We are urgently looking for volunteers to join the project team organising the reconstruction of Schoolhouse Bridge near Crickheath, Shropshire, one of the most exciting projects of 2020.

We are seeking help over the next eighteen months with project management and site management and a day-to-day foreman for the site. Our planning application has been submitted with a view to the work starting next spring.

We reckon this opportunity will appeal to people used to being in charge on construction sites. It may also appeal to someone self- employed and looking to do something worthwhile between other jobs.

You will be joining our existing professional team of engineers and others who are restoring the beautiful and historical Montgomery Canal.

We need helpers at events and to organise fund raising

Restore The Montgomery Canal stand

Our News page gives details of events we attend where we take our stand and raise money. Might you be the person to come and help us for a few hours (and also look around the event)?

Would you like to organise a vintage tea party for your friends or other event to raise funds. At one such recent event, a generous donor gave us a cheque for £100 and signed the Gift Aid form.
